Default Oops! Bank Angle Sensor

So, I’m getting my ‘12 TriGlide ready for a trip. One of the things to fix is that after running a while the “lights” fuse blows. This is the circuit for the running lights. So, I’m slowly narrowing it down by disconnecting circuits. Today I decided to disconnect the rear running lights. But, to get my fat hands around the rear lights connector, I had to remove the driver seat back brackets. I then pulled the wire that goes to the rear running lights, and went for a test drive. I got about 1/2 mile from my house, and down a slight hill...and the engine shut off. After repeat tries to start ‘er up, she would immediately shut off and display “tip”. But, I swear..the Trike was not on its side. Anyhow, I couldn’t push her up the hill, so called AAA...and within 20 minutes (on a Sunday evening at 4:00 PM) a flatbed showed up. We loaded her up for the 1/2 mile ride home.

After getting “ Big Red” back home and in the garage, I broke out the Service Manual...and a few beers.

Well damn! It looks like the Bank Angle Sensor is held in place by the 2 bolts that also mount the seat bracket...and were in my parts removed tray.

So, tomorrow back to diagnosing the lights issue.

Oh yeah...IMHO the AAA plan is well worth it.

Pics of Big Red under a shade tree. The tour pack was removed, and the speakers on top of the trunk for some other work.

Waiting for AAA.

Oh yeah, my smart *** neighbor got pictures of me and Big Red on the flatbed.

Me and Big Red on the flatbed.
