A good shock is gonna cost money and better off with 13" as opposed to 12". I had Pro Action in 12 and much better than even the new HD shocks. But 13's are very sweet. I picked up a set of Progressive 430's from the classifieds here for my 01 and vastly improved.
HOWEVER, if you want a band aid until you get a set, remove the air lines from the shocks you now have, go to a hardware store and pick up a couple Shrader valves. No more leaking lines.
Just installed Pro Action 13" on my RG. WAAYYYY better than the stock setup. Can't speak to how Ohlins are, never had them.
But for $800, having a lifetime warranty for rebuilds etc is a killer deal. Custom sprung/valved to your application.
I'm a fan !
