Thanks for all the info. We are not the party type. Just love to ride and people watch as well as checking out vendors. I starting searching on VRBO. Prices are cheaper than regular hotels.
I still have a little time to book something. Also watching the weather. Hopefully no hurricanes come that way.

Thanks again!!

All hotels are biker friendly during the rally. They jack the prices to make up for any cash deficiencies due to low volume when there's nothing going on. This year I'm staying at St. Augustine Beach and will commute the 50 miles to Daytona. No biggie. If you want some relative peace and quiet, yet, still have a few places to drink and be merry, I suggest St. Augustine.

Something to note - if you get a room in Daytona Beach Shores, you can't park your trailer at the hotel.

I've been doing Daytona for 20+ years - love it! We've stayed in condos, hotels and even owned a house for a few years with a bunch like minded friends. I will pay the extra to stay on the beach in October - not so much in March. I like Biketoberfest better than Bike Week because it's sunny and 80 with less crowds and all the same fun - except for the races.

Sounds like you may very well like Ormond By The Sea or New Smyrna Beach. You can get a place on (or very near) the ocean in these two locates and still be just a reasonably short ride from the action if you so desire.

One of the reasons why i like Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest so much is because you can make the event whatever you want it to be. If you've never been, you'll truly enjoy Bikteoberfest; just research what's available and choose accordingly. My only complaint with Biketoberfest is that it's too short. If you're coming from far away, maybe take a road trip down to Key West to make it more worthwhile. We've done that and liked it. The 100+ miles from Key Largo to Key West is a GREAT ride. Stay overnight in Key West, then start heading north for Daytona.

Go!!!!! This is the last Bikeweek where Beach St will be open. After this things will certainly have to change and not for the better when it comes to traffic going down Main Street.

We will check into to that. Thank you!
I would like to be able to keep the trailer hooked to the truck like we did in sturgis. Great parking at night.

it’s being developed by some very large office buildings between Main and International Speedway. No more vendors and closed to traffic after this .

I live here and have heard zero about this. I hear about something on ISB but not Main St.
