I upgraded to a Harman Kardon radio in my 05 Electra Glide. If I understand correctly the 05 radio ran 4 ohm speakers and the Harman Kardon runs 2 ohm speakers...
So I need to either replace the speakers to 2 ohm or add an amplifier with 4 ohm output correct?
Not wanting to spend a lot of money to continue this upgrade but a pair of speakers can easily set me back a hundred. Anyone have recommendations on an amp?
Looks as if either way I am spending more money.
well first off what is it exactly is your goal? Are you trying to replace all four speakers? If it is stock 2 OHM speakers you want I have a set of four on my shelf. I will ship to you for 15.00 plus the ride.
Jump over to audio section and ask there, you'll get excellent guidance from that group. Yes you will totally want to upgrade speakers to a larger 6.5 inch with adapters and an amp. Can easily do for a few hundred and you'll be much happier.

Thanks, I have Hog Tunes in there now but Iron Cross says the ohms on the speakers are different from 05 to the HK radios.
