New clutch needed.

is 1/4 turn within spec? I seem to recall the service guide as 1/2 to 1 one full turn. I personally use 1/2 turn which puts engagement in the middle of the lever travel. It would seem that 1/4 might casue some drag....or do I have it reversed, where 1/4 put it way out toward the end of lever travel?

I wonder if my clutch might have been adjusted to tight before. Would grab with just a little release of the clutch lever. Now releases much farther out, with less initial grab. Maybe I might try to adjust it with a little less backing off of the adjustment bolt. When I adjusted it, I turned out between 1/2-3/4 turn.

I finally was able to ride with the old lady, and find that my clutch works properly. Might have been adjusted a little on the tight side. Now that I know it is all good, time to ride.
