RE: Question to EG Classic Owners-Tour Pak Brake Lights
HAVE 2008 E/G CLASSIC AND ADDED THE SPOILER/LIGHT KIT. LIKE THE FACT THAT IT IS HIGHER UP AND EASIER TO SEE. ALSO ADDED THE MODUALE (SP?) FOR TURNING REAR SIGNALS INTO BRAKE LIGHTS TOO. CANNOT EVER HAVE TOO MANY LIGHTS...RIDE SAFE.
PS. TOUR PAK IS DETACHABLE AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS UNPLUG LIGHTS TO REMOVE...
RE: Question to EG Classic Owners-Tour Pak Brake Lights
Gosh I guess I am old school! Ive a 1992 FLHTP which I changed into an Ultra. But instead of buying the led lite like most of yall did. i went to the junk yard and pulled the 3rd brake lite from the roof of a late 90's model Chevy van/ Its 16 inches long, 3/4" in height and 1&1/2 in width. Mounts in a matter of minutes right under the back edge of the tourpac and at night when ya hit the brakes. You can be seen by the blinded guy in back of you. Has about 24 white LED's in a row behind a plain red reflector. Cost me 20 bucks.

My buddy put the LED/spoiler on his '06 EG Classic; like Neggy said, the higher the better. I liked his enough that I putone on my King TP that already had the Ultra light bar. The LED/spoiler looks good and is an easy DIY project.
Another inexpensive improvement in the light on the rear of your bike is HD's module that causes the rear turn signals to also function as run/brake lights. That module adds a lot of light on the back of the bike, also. Important if you go with a detachable tour pak mounting kit.
Here's a pic with both the Ultra light bar and spoiler/LED on my '04 police model EG:
That bike is really sharp looks like aCVO from the rear
RE: Question to EG Classic Owners-Tour Pak Brake Lights
Thanks for the heads up on the plug in the tour pack ValleyRider!! Just got my Classic yesterday and only put 15 miles on it due to the weather. I did taketest light out to the shed and checked the plug. It does appear to be for the LED light. Three wires to the plug. 1 is for running light and one for the brake light. The other must be ground.

I have purchased the spoiler with the led light but have not installed it as yet. It will be my winter project.
One question: do you wire it according to the directions? What is the spare plug inside the tour pack for?
Yes, you should wire it according to the directions by routing the wire thru the hole in the front lower left corner of the tour pak and connecting the end to the auxillary plug found in the crotch of the frame in front of the battery.
The plug inside the tourpak is for adding the LED side marker lights.
