Id like to swap out the red side lights for smoked ones and have found three options:
Does anyone have these installed that can suggest the brightest solution? Im not sure if the quantity of LEDs is a direct correlation to their brightness. Thanks
Imho,,,, i have had all sorts of lighting from all the places you mentioned in your post,,, and the place i always get my stuff from now is ride time....
The guy makes quality stuff and he will talk you through any problems that may arise,,, and he stands behind his lighting and modules... Hope this helps,,, good luck
Ditto on Ride Time. I just worked with Keith at Ride time and converted all lights on my 02 Ultra Classic to LED, including the tour-pak side lights. They are bright and stand out even more if you have them wired to be turn signals also. People will definately see you from the side then. I did have a few questions during all this and Keith was right there to talk me through, send schematics and whatever else he had to do. I won't buy from anyone else.
I have to echo what others said about Keith and Ride Time. Great, fast service and he answers all email. I installed the smoked 11 LED Tour Pak lights and love them. Not sure if they are any brighter than others or not, but I'm happy with them and Ride Time!
What I did with a Tour Pak I had from the 1985 FLHT was to buy 2 Red strip LEDs from Walmart for $9.95 each. I took out the 194 bulbs and installed the LED strips.
I plan to find some smoked lens covers some day. But I saved a lot of money and they look great.
I have the custom dynamics, which is really Drag Specialities side TP smoke LED lights. If you want, I would be more than happy to make a quick vid of them and post here for you. Just let me know.
