Anyone Switch Their Passenger Floorboards to pegs or Mini's?
Whenever I ride 2-up on my Road King I always seems to nail the rear of my calf on the passenger floorboards when I stop, takeoff or backup into a spot......it's getting old! Wondering if anybody else has this issue and what you did to prevent it. I'm thinking about switching the passenger boards to something smaller or even pegs. Anybody do this and is it a big difference? We don't ride 2-up a ton but when we do its for a few hours at a time. No real cross country trips together or anything. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I wish I had that issue as my passenger boards are always up. My wife won't ride. Hell I even took them off, but the ugly mounting holes look horrible. I have searched for some type of piece to bolt on there instead of the boards. I can't find anything. If I was riding passenger, I think the pegs would be more comfortable just based on angle.
My RGS came with pegs, and the wife hated them, so on went floorboards. But I have had little issue with banging my legs. Check with the significant other before doing that is my advice.

Never had a problem on the Harley touring bikes hitting my calves as long as the boards were up. I once changed to what I thought were nice looking pegs but the wife would have none of it. Back to boards she said so found some that I liked. Like said, better check with her.
