Does anyone have any experience with them? I just bought a 1995 RK with them on the bike. When i pushed the horn button I could here the compressor but no air. Called them up. Sent my old compressor back and they sent me another. $89.00 Same problem. Talked to a guy ,Tony. On cell phone. So he could hear. Hooked horn up to fully charged car battery. Compressor ran but no air no horn. Took air line off and blew my air hose though air line. Like 150 dbs. Oh. He said nothing wrong with compressor. Must be horn. Gotta go. Got two people on other line. IDK. Guess I am just out $89.00. Just like everything else. It is my fault.
Remove the backs of the horn trumpets. Clean the diaphragms. Also there is a very small air bleed hole under the diaphragm on the inside of the horn body. They get clogged with dirt or bug jerky. That passage is what sends air from the compressor hose to the actual sound making part..
Here in AZ I clean them about once a year or whenever the horns sound weak.

It's routine maintenance..
He's spot on. Remove the back of the horn and clean it out paying special attention to the diaphragm. I had one but every time I needed the horn, it did just like yours. I'd clean it and it would sound awesome. Next time I needed it, dead again. Vicious circle. I got rid of it and got a wolo bad boy. It's Ugly but loud as hell and works every time I need it and never have to touch it.
If you keep it, perform regular horn checks to make sure it's going to work when you need it. Something I never remembered to do. I did like the looks and sound of the Howard Horn but a horn should be dependable and not be on any routine maintenance schedule. It should just work.

Just want to set the record straight. We got together and got the horns working. More on my part over coming my ignorance of air horns. Another chapter in My Evo Odyssey. Howard's Hog Horns has my endorsement. For ever that is worth.
Dont think i would want the headache of that type horn why would i need to add more work and maintenance to my bike right now seems like a lot work for just a horn.
