Did your map load from the FP3? if I recall the off/run switch is used to restart the ECM to load a new map

Further to all the good advice above, does your bike have non-stock handlebars, or have you disturbed the handlebar switches recently? It is all too easy to damage a wire and cause an electrical problem that way, which may be intermittent.

Thanks for all the great advice. Mr Brown in regards to your suggestion about the bars, they are stock; I think I am the only one in the universe who finds stock bars comfortable. For those who say remove the FP3 should I re-flash the stock map? Thanks

This is not making sense. In order to load the MAP from the FP3 the off/run switch needs to be in the run position. I would trace the wire from the switch to the connector and see if there is continuity.

Does the bike start with the run switch in the off position?
That might indicate switch problems.

Yes the bike does start with the bike in off position. Tried the original map with V&H rep on the phone and it did the same thing. Starting to think it was just coincidence the switch went the day after I installed the FP3...

He's talking about the engine off/run switch, not the ignition switch. The ignition switch is what's used to program/load maps on the FP3.
