Same issue/wire on mine... only the wire's insulation was not broken. I ended up noting which wires went to which pins in the connector and taking several photos from different angles... removed all the pins and inspected each wire. I noticed a "kink" in the short/last wire. I tugged at the wire holding each side of the kink... the insulation stretched... the wire inside was broken. I soldered a 3" extension in and put it in heat-shrink. Then put all the pins back into the connector and presto... fixed!
Long story short, on my '09 it was a broken wire. Bottom wire on the "throttle body" connector. Soldered in a new section, problem solved, multiple codes cleared.
This was the issue on a buddy's 2012 SG. New cable and issue fixed.
