Default Engine Noise

I have an 04 Ultra. Recently I had a reduced effort clutch installed. Since then the engine makes a rattling sound when the engine hits 2,400 rpm. The sound is almost like dieseling or bearings - hard to describe. Mechanic checked primary chains and it's adjusted ok. Dealer says don't worry - cahracteristic of bike. The bike runs perfect. Have gone over 2,000 miles since the clutch. It's the lout mechanical sound that bothers me.
Any ideas?

Dealer say's, "that's normal".

If it's out of warranty take it to an indy shop and see what they say.

Maybe your clutch plates are worn, part of the reduced effort clutch setup replaces the diaphram spring which puts pressure on the clutch pak.(like the pressue plate on a straght shift car) If your plates are worn then it could be letting them chatter because of less pressure holding them together.

Ping and heat normal on a stock 07, due to lean epa requirments, if it was built before november of 06, you need to get the 903 required download from your dealer, its free and will help with ping.
