it isn't so much as a 'warning', just for fitment it says '09 and up touring'.

Yeah I’ve seen that too, but they obviously fit older models as well. I’m just wondering if the worry is actually warranted. I get it on the 90’s models with their weak swing arms, but the 2000’s models didn’t have that problem.
