I notice that the 2014 models, limited, etc have a better suspension, coil springs instead of the crappy Air Shocks. Went to the "STEALERSHIP" to inquire about the suspension, part number 54674-10 $258.95 each...
I'm in the process of changing my stock crappy air shocks, wondering if this maybe a better option than what I'm considering "Suspension Technology shocks" for $450! free shipping... Wonder who makes these new and improved shocks??? If anyone has a 2014 SG w the improved shocks, care to chime in??? I could probably find them cheaper online but since Harley Makes them and installs them I'm thinking or better saying "guessing" that the new improved shock could be a lil bit better than an aftermarket shock
These are not "new and improved shocks". They are the same shocks that have been used on the CVO bikes for the last few years. A pair will cost you about $500 from harley. They are the "premium" shocks that you see in the parts catalog.
they are the premium hand adjustable shocks. they come in 2 sizes, 12'' and 13''. yes, they are better than stock, but you can also find better than them. if you get them used for a good price, go for it.
