Just got a new to me 15 Ultra Limited Low. Looking to find out what are some accessories that are needed or good add on's to the bike? I will have my wife riding with me so anything that can help either of us would be appreciated.
Well, you didn't mention anything that may be on the bike other than what it comes with stock - so it's an open door. I guess the question is back to you... what would you like to add and possibly we can guide you to some good products. Not knowing what it already has is gonna waste a lot of time typing....
Good items are very diverse depending on what kind of riding you plan or will do, 1 or 2 up, miles per day, etc.... That is the beauty of the HD, it is very customizable for just about every situation.
There are multiple threads of farkles and mods folks have done to get ideas and provide you some things to think about.
Of course I would say ride the bike a few times to see just what you don't like or think needs improved to make it yours.
Ride for a few weeks or months and then decide if you need any accessories. Do you want to talk to your passenger? Get the correct cords and headsets might be something to consider. Get good rain gear if you don't have any, gloves, boots, etc......We put on a couple cup holders.

Congrats! I highly recommend getting your wife comfortable first Tourpak and floorboard positioning is a good start. My wifes legs will fall asleep if her feet are place too low so I always raise the floorboards to the highest position. I also ensure the tourpak is in the most forward position to reduce wind buffeting for her. Happy wife - happy life. Now my little Mrs weighs 97 lbs soaking wet so those adjustments wont work for everyone.
Thanks guys. Yeah I'm definitely gonna get some cup holders. The bike doesn't have anything that is user friendly for either the driver or passenger, so I guess I'm trying to find things for both the driver and passenger that would make their rides more pleasurable. Also looking for some little things or big things to make it my own and spice it up a little. Like certain accessories for the bike itself.
I did do a search but maybe I didn't use the right target words to pull up what I was looking for.

You and your bride should go on a "shake down" cruise...about 50 miles out and 50 back. Ask your wife what SHE needs to get comfortable. Is there too much wind turbulence on her? Are her feet placed correctly on the floorboards? Can she hear you and/or the music/conversations clearly? Does she want to make phone calls from the passenger seat? Does she have the necessary rain and cold weather gear? Does she need a bottle/cup holder on one of her arm rests/rails?
IMPORTANT***** Find out how long she can ride before she has to pee? I'm not kidding here either. Nothing will ruin a ride more than your wife having to sit there holding it until YOU decide you want to stop for a smoke break, or water, or gas. I'll guarantee you that ride will be the last time you take that long to stop, IF you ever want her on the bike with you again. And DEFINITELY find out this information BEFORE going on any GROUP rides with her on the bike!
There are plenty of other tips I guess, but those are the most important. Getting your wife comfortable is number ONE. It also shows her you REALLY care about her. THAT will yield YOU immense returns...I'll guarantee it!! LOL!!
