Mine does the same. If I cycle the source around and get back to FM, I can change the volume right away. I didn't know about the 30 seconds; I've never waited that long.

Hey guys, while on the subject of radios...mine did something bizarre last week. Wife and I were on a roadtrip, listening to the radio, and stopped at Mickey D's for breakfast. Came back out to leave and we had no sound from the speakers at all. Volume control showed on the display screen normally, channels changed, but we couldn't hear a thing. The speaker power switch was on as normal. I pulled the only 2 fuses I could find related to the radio and checked them, they were good. A few seconds after re-inserting them, the speakers came back. Ever happen to any of you guys? It's almost as though the radio needed to be re-booted.

Real Harley riders don't need radios.. riding is enough entertainment for them, Personally I don't care if you or anybody has a radio, just joking here with ya, My own brother has a radio on his, but I really, personally don't like a radio, it seems to distract from the ride, that is of course me, and a lot of my friends..But if you, and everybody else on here want radios, thats cool, how boring if we all thought alike.

Remember the days when radios only needed a volume and tuner ****? Now they "boot up" and need software downloads. Geesh!
