Default radio

I have an 07 RG and when I start the bike I cannot change the radio station for about 30 seconds or so. The volume works fine, but the button to change the stations does not work right away, but then works just fine.

Is this normal?

What version of the radio software are you running? I upgraded to the latest (8.19, I think) a couple of months ago and started having the same thing happen. Didn't happen before I upgraded, but does now...

How do you 'upgrade' radio software?
How do you load or program the stuff in?

Really a simple deal
Go to the MoCo site, get software download, burn to cd, follow instructions given on MoCo site for using CD, upgrade radio.

Almost forgot... this only works on the HK radio 06 and newer.

does the MOCO site have upgrades to enable rear speakers, add cb/intercom or is that the flash the stealership will charge you for? Seems if you can upgrade software on a cd you could add features too. can you post a link to the moco site you got the d/l from. I looked but could not find it.

No, the cb is a module that is added to the radio, (on top right hand corner of radio in the picture below.)

and also you need the overlay harness to wire it all in.
The rear speakers are turned on through a flash to the ecm of the bike.
