Hello all, I just recently purchased a 2013 street glide and am getting ready to purchase a set of 14” ape hangers. My question is about the riser clamp, I know I’ve got the one piece clamp, but I’ve been looking at the gorilla grabber clamp with the set screws.
Do do you guys think that drilling and tapping the stock riser clamp and installing set screws would warrant the same result as purchasing one of the new clamps?
Thats what I was thinking, but I noticed that the clamps that are made like that have extra material in the middle of the clamp. I didnt know if I would be doing more harm than good by modifying the stock one.
