There was a three years old Yausa on the Ultra when I got it...it did not last too many cranks before giving it up when I got back on the road...left me stranded needing a jump to get going. I have always used HD in my Dyna and you cannot convince me that there is any remarkably better battery than the one made for your bike and sold by HD for the price. Some are cheaper and others are more expensive yeah, but better? Nah.

I purchased a GYZ32HL From Amazon. It arrived with a cracked case although the shipping carton and the retail carton showed no damage. I filed a complaint and sent pictures. They refunded the charges and said not to worry about sending the battery back.

I’ve used Yuasa batteries with pretty good longevity. Just put one in my wife’s heritage.

I was was gong to order one for my Road Glide since the battery is 4 years old, and it’s cranking a little slow. Couldn’t find one on amazon with free “prime” 2 day shipping. Could have gotten one with free shipping, but was showing an end of the month delivery date.

Ended up just ordering a Deka for mine.

Anyhow, to answer your question, Yuasa Batteries are my first choice since they have servered me well (last at least 5 years) I have never had to deal with their customer service though, so I can’t tell you if their good or bad.

I have not found this to be true. Harley batteries of the same quality are competitively priced. Some aftermarket batteries are a little cheaper but not by much. They are also not designed and tested to be used in a Harley. That's one of the reasons they are cheaper.

I have also been stranded with a HD battery as well. One time when a 9 month old battery started acting intermittent and left me stuck in a Kroger parking lot. I took it back to the dealer and they promptly replaced it at no cost.

For the Road Glide it’s about 75% higher, possibly a logo tax as I paid $99 for my Deka, but did pay $112 for my wife’s Yuasa. The HD version for the heritage is only listed for $135, so I get your point on the price. Guess it really depends on what bike your buying it for.
