Yes, there is a wait time. The bottom line is, it would cost the company way too much money to stock every configuration of every option for every bike. You shield is made to order after your order.
Please don't let this put you off. I have dealt with Clearview in the past and this company is 100% devoted to your satisfaction. I can't say this enough.
Once you get your shield and see the quality, all of your frustration will melt.
BTW, I have no relationship with them except I am a past customer who was extremely satisfied.
Thanks for the pep talk gents. I’m finding relief that it is going to be raining all week anyway so I wouldn’t have been trying it out this week anyway.
Thanks for the advice on cleaning, I definitely don’t want to scratch it!
Last spring, I received my windshield two weeks past the promised delivery date. No issues with the windshield quality, but the over-promise and under perform was disappointing. Hope this helps you out.
Ordered mine 3 years ago and it's definitly well worth the wait. I had a custom light kit installed so when I got the shield, it didn't fit so get this.
Craig told me to ship it back .... on his dime ..... mark the shield where it needed to be customized .... he'd do it and ship it back overnight.
It fits like a glove and I don't ever take it off. I tried another shield from another pretty populat company and the weight and thickness of the Clearview is much better IMHO.
Oh one other thing. When you are putting the hardware on the new shield, do NOT use blue Loc Tite on the small bolts and nuts. All that **** has to do is barely touch the edges of those holes and they will begin to splinter. Ask me how I know
I bought a "blem"if there wasn't a note on the windshield pointing it out.... I wouldn't have known
The make each shield to order, so, yeah, there is a lead time.....
I read that, and read the "blems" were ready for shipping....
PLUS, I got the vented version, for the non-vented price
