Does CV always send an email after a shield is ordered stating it will be 5-7 business days before the shield will be fabricated and shipped? I have no patience and this kinda ticked me off to receive this message after I made payment.
Theres a lot of shield options out there and had I known about this delay I might have went another direction.
Hopefully it will be well worth the wait... BTW I went with a 17.5 GT Wide dark tint.
I had to weight for mine last fall ,
It was well worth the weight ,
A great improvement over factory H-D shield
Replaces a ''19 with a ''17 recurve +''3 wider

Sounds like you're either going to learn patience or cancel your order and go another direction.
What I found with a Clearview which came to me perfect in every way, was they make a major effort to tell you to wash it gently in warm water with soap when you wash the bike.. I always had a habit of washing mine on the road when it got filthy from bugs and road grime on long trips with some detailer spray stuff and a microfiber cloth. - That was a mistake! - I think their coating maybe slightly more prone to very fine scratching that the stock glass, and after one particularly long overnight ride I put a number of very fine scratches in mine.
Now I use only the polish they tell suggest in directions and web site. Novus 1, and I gently used some Novus 2 (scratch remover) and that got the very surfaces scratches out. But just be careful with Clearviews, I think they scratch a little easier than stock.

Patience my friend , I had to wait 3 weeks before I saw mine . I do live in Canada though , so I imagine yours will come sooner . I bought mine over the winter so didn't mind the wait time . They are slightly thicker than the stock , well made and the tint is very nice .. I've ordered 3 of them for past bikes and now the present . Love them , and a great company to deal with .
Note : Don't forget to use the little black spacer's that go between the bolts and the shield . My first setup had to be redone because I didn't look in the pkg until after it was installed !!
That is the only problem with CV shields. I have bought every brand out there and am partial to CV. I have put them on countless Road Kings but never tried the GT version. For the money I didn't want to chance it looking too gawdy. Please post a picture of it when you finally do get it and installed. Curious to see.
