i have a 2004 roadking i took the soft/hard stock bags off to install stretched rear bags and fender i had to eliminate the mounting bars the bags sit on along with the mount for exhaust brackets.. my problem is i cant find a aftermarket bag mount set up that doesnt have the crash bar on it and one that hangs from the rear subframe with exhaust mounts does anyone know where i can buy a hard bag support kit
[QUOTE=Jaftica;18141658]If you are talking about these, I just bought a set on flea bay for 63.00$
ok so here is 2 pictures the first picture is what i had with the outer rails and gaurd the second picture is what im looking for but i can only find it for softtails the ones i find for the roadking says they only fit 09-13 when i have a 04 cant seem to find what i need the ones you showed me will not work because i have a extended rear fender and there is a bracket for that type of mount that bolts to the rear fender which i no longer have
Any good at fabricating? You will not find the style you are looking for for that year bike. Take your pick on which ones you want to "rework". Perhaps the company that made your extended fender has something to fit your needs? You may want to consider getting the original bracket and having a stud welded inside your fender (if its steel) at proper location. Are you still using these or not?
Look up "saddle bag eliminator" on Amazon or Ebay...it may be what your looking for
on the rear fender you have this bracket that bolts to the fender and the bag rail which also holds exhaust i had to take it off when i purchased the stretched rear fender so a stock bag rail will no longer work with out some kind of fab work i was trying to avoid that and go with something i couls purchase and bolt on but fabbing one up seems to be my only option
