It must use a lot of phone battery if it has to be on and running up front all the time. If it runs in the background and sends an alarm to my headset when a tire gets low, that would be cool.
I only noticed the Fobo when it dings at me. I listen to music via Bluetooth, and I almost never have the screen open unless I want to check the readings. I have never noticed a difference in battery between my bike and my car, which has no Fobo.

I hope that answers your questions.

In the interest of full disclosure: the batteries in the actual Fobo (2032's) seem to last a year or less, especially if left in the Fobo's over the winter in my unheated garage.

Thanks QNman, that DID answer my questions. The only thing I have to get past is how ugly that are on wheels, but.......... the Fobo's look a lot better than some that I've looked at, lol.

I looked at the pricing for the Bike 2's and the cheapest I found, (refuse to use Amazon because of Bezos), is actually the Fobo site itself.......$99/set with free shipping. eBay was like $110-120!!

I am right there with you on Amazon! Bezos can suck it!

I bought direct from Fobo. Honestly, once they're installed and you start riding, you hardly notice them again.

Trust me - get the tee fittings and install them with those. Makes filling tires 100 times easier than removing the Fobo every time you want to adjust pressure.

I called my dealer but I guess they haven’t done it yet. They’re looking into it.

When you say he thought outside of the box what do you mean? Was the difficult part flashing the radio or getting the sensors installed / working? What solution did he actually implement?

I have a 2017 Street Glide Special and am interested in adding it to my bike.

Curious what you find out. After having my CVO, I want TPMS on this FLTRU and I like the CVO platform for that. Would be easy to add during a tire change.

Thanks for making this point. Tires almost always blow out from being run at too low a pressure, so TPMS can absolutely prevent a catastrophic failure whether because of a puncture or slow leak, or just failure to check pressure and add air periodically. That said I certainly wouldn't use anything that replaces valve caps since that isn't how valve stems are meant to seal, but I like the look of the orange based system from http://www.rrrtoolsolutions.com

I don't think any part of it was difficult. It's just something that was never done before at the dealership and it's not something HD makes known that it can be done on non-CVO's. The parts guy tried to say that there was something else special needed that the CVO bikes had, but the tech checked into it himself and found it could be done quite easily with just the sensors and a flash. Maybe depending on which wheels you have there could be sensor fitment issues, but I don't know for sure. In the case of my Agitator wheels it worked out fine.

Maybe give them the name of the dealer that you had yours done at, so the guys could ask their local dealer check with them on how they did it?
I am on a 2016, I have the Orange Electronics set up and happy with it, so I'm sticking with it... but if I had a newer bike I would be checking into this too.
(2014-2016 requires the BCM to be changed also, added expense!)

Ssitruc: Where do you have the TPMS monitor mounted on your bike? Pic?
