I've got about 500 miles on my Rush CyclePedic II seat and really like it so far. The most I've done on it so far is about 170 miles on a one way, and was not uncomfortable at all. Awaiting final rating after I take on a couple 500 mile days later this year.
Hattitude put it perfectly. The seat debate rages on, and there will never be an answer that suits everyone. There truly is an *** for every seat.
I changed out my stock seat on SGS for the Roland Sand "Boss" seat, (made by Mustang). Loved the look, but it was not that comfortable, and sat me back too far with no back/tail support. I felt like I would fly off the back under hard acceleration. So I sold it and got a Lucky Dave's seat. The LD seat is so comfortable, and locks me into place, and feels better and safer in every way. But... I don't like how it looks. I can't not notice the big, flat, "hump" in the back. I'd like to sell it, but it is the best riding seat I've ever tried, so I can't until I find the holy grail. I like the look of the Corbin Gunfighter, and have heard great things about them, but it is a very expensive seat just to experiment with. Fortunately, I found one on eBay for $400 delivered. It arrives in a few days. If it looks like the RSD and feels like the Lucky Dave's, I'll be in seat heaven. If not, you'll see it on the member classifieds soon.
I bought an Electra Glide Standard on March 30th. First thing I bought (ordered) was a Corbin Dual Touring saddle. The only saddle my wife will ride on. I bought my first one on a Deluxe back in ‘08 and have had one on my RKC, Heritage, and now on my EGS. Corbin also makes solo/pillion setups, but the Dual Touring sits better and is always on the motorcycle...
Before you spend a lot of money buying different seats, try to find a boat custom seat maker in your area or an automotive seat maker. They can do mods to your seat for not much money. That way you can test it out and KNOW what works before you spend a ton of money searching for the right one. Also by doing it this way, you will have a chance to talk to the person at the boat/car seat maker and tell them exactly what you are trying to get in the way of comfort.
