My big problem is long legs and a boney ****. I've had 7 seats in 3 yrs, all resulting in butt burn after 1 ~ 3 hours depending on the seat. I need a seat that I can go a full tank of fuel, get off to fill up and get right back on to keep going.
Any one have any past experience with Hartco seats? http://hartcoseats.com/HomePage.html
i do... gary wouldn't listen when i explained what i wanted.. had sent emails and photos specifically describing in detail.. ended up getting what he thought was best and returned it immediately and was shorted 100 dollars for his mistake..
can not tell anyone enough what a waste of time and money dealing with him was..
my advice? stay away from him.. go test ride some seats from the dealer..
I've heard a lot of good things about 'day long' seats. Very expensive, and ugly as hell. But if it's comfort you are looking for, none of that really matters. If I had a grand laying around, I'd be ordering one tomorrow....

On my 2010 Limited I've tried
-Stock
-HD Hammock
-Mustang Vintage Tour
-3 different Ultimates
-Saddlemen Explorer...custom made
I have the Wild 1 577 bars, with extended brake and floorboards.
Lepera, Corbin, & Saddlemen do not make their seats compatible with the HD passenger grab rails so they are all out.
I've considered Russell, but I don't like the way the stock backrest mounts, plus I'd have to buy a 2nd stock seat and ship it to them. So they are out.
I need more hamstring support to take more of the weight off my behind, so I don't build the pressure point.
Hartco has some good reviews from the Goldwing forums, but other than the one negative comment above I haven't been able to find out much from HD riders.
Yes I do have rider's shorts to reduce the lines and sweat..
thanks
