Yup I have them and they work great. Protection for the lids and a place to cary extra stuff. You can leave them on for protection all of the time and just tuck the straps inside the bags.

Even though I have a RoadKing, I put on a Tourpack on from time to time.
With the Tourpack on, the storge is reduced, if you read the website it says not for use on bikes with tourpacks. That said, they will work, just not as much stuff.
With out the tourpack I can carry A LOT of stuff and the bike handles better with the weight down low.
I do find the lid cover - straps a very nice combo to carry fishing poles ect.
