New to a Road King

New to a Road King
Actually new to a motorcycle that shifts on the left. After 25 years on Ironheads figured it was time to get something a little more comfortable for longer 2 up travels.
Started some researching and looking around and figured a 09 or newer touring frame would fit the bill. Didn't really want an armchair with a fairing, but have heard
wonderful things about a windshield. So that led me to buying, or building a Road King. Couple weeks of hunting ads, salvage sites and a trip to the dealer I found
the one that I just couldn't say no.... Well I did at 1st but went back a few days later and brought it home. 2011 RK Classic, that was owner by a HD dealer employee
Who had a love for ***** G....Seems like its got every piece of WG Chrome but the horn cover. 42K miles but seems to be well taken care of, Supposed to be getting
me the maintenance records. At $7500 seemed like a good deal.
After a few rides I'm getting comfortable with the balance of the bike. From twisty mountain roads, The Blue Ridge Parkway was pure joy, to cruising 75 on the interstate.
The 103 is stock and pulls along just fine with our 400Lbs. And the tales I heard about a windshield are true. After 250 miles I have to say I'm in love...
And the old girl is jealous
