I purchased the wild 1- 14” bagger bars for 50% off from a local shop. I also purchased a set of the 12’s to see what would be more comfortable..the 14’s won because they sit right at my shoulder. I will be blacking out my bike so I opted for the hot rod black which matches the stock controls perfectly!
-Used the 12-14” midnight black braided cable kit complete with the wire extensions from LA choppers. The kit was great but these bars are wide and pulled back so the clutch cable could have been a touch longer. I had to route it differently than stock to make it work but honestly not a big deal. Overall it was a great kit and the quality was ok. Black paint on the cable ends seems a little flaky but time will tell. The wire diagram and quality of wire seems excellent and there customer service is amazing.
-wild 1 bushings..had to torque it down much more than stock specs say to but they worked fine. They gave me the wrong cup washers but that didn’t bother me I just used the stock ones. Looked to be the same thickness so no biggie.
-I soldered the TBW connection (cut out the green connector) along with all of the other connections.
Took a while for me to do this project but this is my first touring bike so I’d say I have about 12 hours into it but I took my time. Could do it much much quicker next time as I know the tricks and steps. Enjoy!
Ps you can’t see them but I also put a fresh set of tires on at the same time.
