I guess people just don't have the confidence in the Harley motor.
BS.
Lets use logic. If you can spend same amount for bike with half or less mileage, why would you buy one with double the mileage? Not a matter of confidence. Now if he could it for half the price, he would have to decide what he wants.
On this same topic, how about a 2016 Road King with 50k miles for $8000? Missing the windshield and a little corrosion on the front lower forks, but otherwise looks pretty good. Was a Police Bike, but was individually owned and converted to regular seat, no police equipment, supposedly never in police service.

But all of a sudden my Dad told me that Harley Engines are Absolute Junk
Just do a little Browsing around the Forum and think you will find this is not the case.. Are lots of Harley Davidson's still around with high miles still running just fine and talking 25,000 X4 on the mileage .. My 2001 Sportster is the only personal experience can talk about with 100,000 + Miles with no problems but also had a 2004 Heritage that did over 50,000 Trouble Free, and a 2009 Ultra that did 70,000 with only a couple of Warranty Fixes ..
I would spend another $2K and get one with less than 30000 miles. The local Craigslist has lots of 2009-2014 bikes with low miles for anywhere from $8K to $12K
Bought my 13 with 35K for $8800. It did have some cosmetic blems when I bought it from a fall off the side stand but mechanically its perfect. Ive put another 7-8K on it with the only issue being an internally damaged Fuelpak making it run like ****. Removed it and its back laying down miles with no concerns.
