I've watched Harley owners spend lots of money on their bikes instead of riding them. Most Harleys will run fine for 100k-150k miles just just usual maintenance. A few things will need to be replaced, but left near stock they will tour the USA many times. Lots of folks want to hop up the bikes to obtain more power than stock. With any motor, once one starts doing that, reliability goes down as too many folks are not detail oriented enough to properly do the build.

Well sure but who's gonna be happy with a stock powered bike? Now the M8's sound like they're decent right out of the gate but the twin cams sure need a bump in power... On the other hand a buddy of mine has a heritage w a stock 96ci & hes fine with it but he also just putts around. I guess its whatever floats your boat.

Thx for any thoughts.
Engine-wise...95k on the clock isn't much.... price wise.... you could/should be able to buy a '14 limited, with under 30k for around 12-14
It's hard to sell a bike with that level of miles, when there is a glut of low mileage bikes available

Personally.... I can rebuild my '05 FLTRi front to rear, for less than the down payment, on a new bike, and with 16x,xxx miles, no one in their right mind would pay me what it would take to separate me from it

I would spend a little more and get a bike with under 10,000 miles, Tons of bikes out there for sale Cycle Trader is great. I never bought a new bike ,just used, My used ultra had 300 miles on it, My 16 streetglide had 1800 miles, Just sayin theres a lot of people who buy them and never ride them!
