Default How many miles?

How many miles is 6000 miles on a bike? I guess what I am asking is what is the rule of thumb for when a HD is broken in and at how many miles does a bike sit at and lose a big drop in resale value.

I know answers will probably be all over the board but I was curious to see what opinions were

I think at around 50,000 you will take a big hit in resale value. after that I don't think the milage is a big factor

Dont buy to resale. Buy to ride. What is the use of having such a wonderful bike if it just sits in the garage. I have an 07 RG with 29K miles. I am not worried about trade in when its time. She is worth every penny I paid for her and the miles we have spent together.

6000 miles....means you get CRAP for a trade in....
6000 miles means also it id due for it's oil change. Don't think of Harleys in the
'old' 1950/60s' sense. Harleys from the 80's til; now are a new beast.

Change the oil.....ride. log on here often!

I'm new to bikes, but from what I'm reading it seems bikes are like cars in a way, you trade them in after a while and don't keep them long. I guess I had this thought that when you buy a bike you kept it for years and years.
