Default What Ape install kit do you recommend?

I just ordered a set of 14" Wild 1 Chubby apes for my Road King. Now looking to order a complete cable and wire install kit.

Looking for suggestions from those that have used a complete install kit. I'm leaning towards the Magnum shielding kit but kinda pricey at almost $500.

Looking to hear what others used.

If you are going to change the bars I HIGHLY recommend running your electrical lines through the bars. That really cleans up the looks.

Yes, that is the plan. The Wild 1 bars are made for internal wiring.

I just did a 14" install about a month ago and went with the Magnum kit. Worked perfect, I searched around and actually found the exact kit I needed on ebay for $120! It was brand new at a shop. Someone ordered it and never picked it up, got lucky! Once you find the kit you need write down the item # and do an ebay search.

I like Magnum lines. For wires at 14", you might be ok with stock and if not I'd just get some namz plug and play extensions.

I found this while searching for 14: bars for my 2017 Street Glide CVO...

I installed HST 1-1/4" Mayhem 14" bars. I rerouted the wiring as they show in the video, but did not need to reroute the cables.

Wiring these was a pain in the butt though! In the video they suggest you remove the connector housing on one side (re-installs easily)... I tried for 2 hours without removing the connector housing, and finally had to. If you avoid the "demon peaked" bars, you can probably get away without removing the connector.
