Default new noise
Just started getting a loud clatter at around 50 mph on my 04 classic. Almost to 15K service so could it be needing a valve a adjustment? Sound is kinda high-pitched, almost sounds spark knock but I always use 93 octane. never had this sound before. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have an extended warranty so maybe I should take to my dealer.

When was the last time you checked your primary chain adjustment? When that chain gets loose it makes a He!! of a racket.

It could be the compensator nut coming loose. There is a service bulletin to reshim and tighten with a different torque.
