I really have been enjoying the RK, after a little over a year with it I need to find a seat that would allow me to sit a bit higher than the stock seat. I'm very comfortable on the stocker-rare I know lol-but need to stretch my legs just a little bit more. Thinking about the seat from the police version, any other suggestions greatly appreciated-btw I ride solo so passenger accommodation not an issue.
You could also look into moving/changing up your floor boards / foot controls instead, if your butt, back and shoulders are happy with the seat and bar combo you already have.
I wish my RK seat was that low. Too bad our bikes use different seats, I'd offer a trade for mine, but it's a 96. Mine is super comfy (stock seat from a 96 Ultra) but I feel like I'm on a schwinn.
I just put a Sargent seat on my RK. It's about an inch or two taller than stock, judging from my positioning behind the windshield. They have a 30-day return policy, so you could try it out. The Sargent (for me) has the right amount of support vs cushion.

Did you get the City or Touring version? I looked at their website, I like the look of the City if it will give me the added height.
My Road King is a Police model. The seat will sit you taller and add some suspension but adding padding or "reach" floorboards could be easier and less bucks. Since I ride two up mainly and it's very difficult to accommodate a passenger with the Police seat I have gone to a Hammock seat. That seems to sit higher than the stock seats. Just purchased the "reach" floorboards from a member here so I will be giving them a try. Likely will have to change the shifter and brake pedal. Was going to the soft brake pedal anyway so it works out.
Seat, handlebar height , floor board height and windshield (if used) can all be affected by change in another component.
Is that an original stock seat ? In picture it almost looks like operator section is a bit forward.
A change in floor board position (lower) might get you what you want for free or low expense by pushing them out (sideways).
