Ditto. They've been tested to be as good if not better than HD's. Been using them for years now. They're also black which blends in with the cooler.

Most look fairly decent, I quit using frams on anything. In fact, I cross referenced it to an AC Oil Filter for the same price online and much mo betta!
Frams started cheaping out years ago. Not only are the guts cheaper but even the can is thinner.

I use the D2 moto brake pads and like um. Would not hesitate to try their oil filters. However, I switched to a K&P stainless a couple of yes ago on both my bikes and am very happy. In addition, I relocated the oil filter with a Moore Sensible kit on my FLHTK. Got tired of cleaning up the mess.

Fellows I know this is a topic that had been beaten to death 5 ways to Sunday but it will continue until ALL of us are riding electric Harley's

It is my humble opinion that if one does their do diligence and change their oil/filter on a normal maintenance schedule, even the cheap Fram filters will do a decent job filtering the oil. For me, I'll stick with the H-D branded one - mainly bc I've got a couple sitting on the shelf. Heck, after that, who knows, I might look into a cross referenced SuperTech (Wally world) brand. But if course, I'd have to have it chrome plated to go with my color theme

... And then there's the 'panty hose in a mason jar' filter but still haven't worked out the threading details...

Heck at one time JC Whitney sold an oil filter that used a roll of toilet paper for filter media.

If Fram filters, for example, which are made by the millions, are as bad as some would imply, I'd think the company would have gone out of business a long time ago due to all of the new engines they have to buy to compensate their customers for their shoddy product. I'm not a product engineer so I certainly can't look at a filter and tell if it's sub standard. I wouldn't think that you could go by what you "think" it looks like.
