I know HD came out with the new Lithium Ion batteries but $300 is a little steep. Has anyone used any other brands of these new batteries? i tried searching online but I don't know which ones are good or bad. Any advice on what to get is greatly appreciated!
I do not have experience with these batteries but I know drag racer all use them to reduce weight. So maybe look for what they use. I found this searching https://www.fullspectrumpower.com
Some come with auto reset so the battery will never die
I have a Shorai in my customised Glide, but only to get a high output battery that is smaller than stock. I wouldn't buy one for a near stock bike.
I have an amp upgraded speakers but also have a the S&S 110 with heads done. My battery is getting little weak so I figured if Im going to spend the money on a new battery for an extra couple bucks I will get one of the lithium ion batteries. Just dont want to spend the HD price on it

Tnx for the post as I've never heard of this particular lithium battery. Here is a pdf. on the battery and I was very surprised to find that it really
is lithium iron phosphate in design. Most inexpensive lithium batteries are of old design that are prone to fire / explosion like WPS batteries.
I used their chart for my 2013 HD FLHTK and it came back with a battery recommended with only 210 cca - hardly adequate. Hope some folks
with real world use will chime in as to their experiences. Mfg pdf. - http://www.westcoastbatteriesinc.com...nual_Final.pdf

Had a Shorai on my 09 Built Dyna....badass battery and will be getting it again when my HD one goes out for my bagger. 540 cold cranking amps and a bit under 5 lbs.!
Had one in my Buell, no benefit in my opinion. You also need a specific charger to keep them balanced.
I get it for a custom build or where space is critical, but the weight savings on a bagger isn't going to be noticed. They also tend to be slow to turn over when cold. If you ride 4 seasons like I do it was horrible in the winter, had to let the headlights run for awhile to get the battery to heat up due to current draw. Took longer for me due to LED headlights.
