Hi. I am thinking seriously about pulling the trigger and getting an ultra classic. My question / concern is how will the bike fit my wife and I ? We are bigger folk . I am 6ft2 260 , my wife is a larger lady as well.
My inseam is 32. I was just wondering if anyone has any input as to the comfort or discomfort on these bikes being a bigger person. We are also concerned about our combined weight being an issue. Thanks !

Im 511 and felt cramped on my Ultra . What helped was adding extended brake and shifter levers, extended floor board brackets which push the floorboards out about 2 wider and longer shift pegs and brake pedal pad. Worked great for me. I added a LaPera Maverick daddy long legs seat which gave me an additional 2 rearward clearance. For me, that turned into a little bit to much clearance and I may go back to the stock seat . For your wife you can buy trunk relocation brackets to move the trunk back for additional passenger clearance.

A extended brake pedal is a must for tall riders. I think all the ultras come with an extended brake pedal now. Not sure what year they made it standard but someone on here I'm sure knows. I my self 6,2 and 235 pounds, the wife(I have to say this quietly) is also on the plump side and we load 35 + pounds of luggage, tools, rain gear etc on trips. This combo on an ultra has never been an issue with handling , rain or shine. Your wife will love the ,what I call the lounge chair passenger seat. You will as with any bike play around with accessories to meet your liking and comfort level. Go for it you won't regret it.
I am 6'9" and it took some work to get my bike comfortable. It isn't for my wife since I made my modifications but just need to purchase the last one and it will be for her again.
I put on a seat that dropped me down and moved me back, Ape Hangers to move the handlebars back and up to be shoulder level, and a taller windshield. These allow me to sit flat footed, sit comfortable and have my hands at a comfortable position where I can easily ride and not have issues hitting anything. For my wife since I moved the seat down and back I will need to put a tour pac re locator on to move it back a few inches to make additional space. She rides her own bike 90% of the time so it hasn't been on my to do list in years..
