This issue is now with the state's attorney general. The dealer is giving them the same line of BS that it's a clerical error. I saw the mileage the day I signed the papers and the papers said the same thing. When it took delivery on the bike the mileage was 1600 miles less. 600 miles later there was no transmission oil on the dipstick because 7oz of the fluid transferred to the primary. Now it's in the shop getting a vent kit.
So here's my take. When I purchased the bike I also ordered a garage door opener and a security module. Something happened to the bike during those upgrades which resulted in the Odometer to be rolled back whether it be the ECU/ECM itself. All I know now is there was a large amount of staff that is no longer employed there. It's entirely possible that whoever did this to my bike isn't there anymore and that knowledge went out the door.
As far as the fluid transfer issue, someone at the dealer knew there was this issue and didn't address or document it either because the MoCo was dragging it feet or they saw an opportunity to make a ton of cash on this bike. I drove it only 600 miles before it occurred and the likelihood that it wasn't an issue from the other owner(s) is highly unlikely. Furthermore the MoCo should insure that all trades on these bikes are inspected and are addressed for the transfer issue before they are resold.
