Default Trans cover

Got a question to ask. A couple of weeks agoI did the 5k on my bike. Changed all three fluids. Now I am noticing a leak to what appears to be the transmission cover. I assume there is a gasket there. First, is this something covered under my warranty? Secondly, it looks like I would have to drop the rear exhaust on the right side to change out the gasket. How bad it is to change out the gasket? Anything specialI should know? Hopfully it is covered under the warranty, but I am not sure. Anyone here know for sure?

Glad to know it is covered under warranty. Should I tell them I did the fluid swap myself? Or just not tell them unless they ask? Don't want them coming back at me and saying since I did the fluid swap myself it is not covered.

PapaTravis...If you're talking about the Transmission Side Plate Cover (the chrome part where the clutch cable goes into) it's not too bad to remove and replace. The cover has two alignment pins which makes things pretty easy. I use a little Vaseline on the "new" gasket to help hold it in place and then re-torque the 1/4" bolts to 108-in. lbs.

If it's still under warranty, I'd certainly go that way, as long as it doesn't take the "Stealership" forever to do it.

I went in today and made an 'appointment' for July 20th. I should be fine until then, I will just check the level, and keep it full.
