08 no sert til early fall

just went to dealer to buy oil filter, salseman struts over with a guy who just order 08 road king . parts guy says no info on pipes.sert backorder til early fall!!.i paid for my part& look at parts guy and said thats not good he gave me the no sh** look..my 07 is looking better every day .i geuess waiting 1 month for my sertwas not that bad ..let 08 saga begin..tommy

Isn't this the normevery year?Didn't this just happen last July for the 07's? Doesn't seem a biggie to me.

..08's aren't supposed to be here till september..that's pretty close to early fall.

Well I got a question.
If the SERT is supposed to be for off road / race only.
And will or could void the warranty why are so many dealers installing them on bikes they KNOW will never see the racetrack?
And how are they going to handle a warranty problem if it arises?
