S&S 509 Map Help
I don't understand how the speedo can be working by the signals won't cancel but that's what's happening. I've checked the stock map and the stage 1 map I was using. The stock map speedo PPM, stage 1 PPM and 509 PPM are all different. My stage 1 was at 0PPM which I didn't even think was possible. Any ideas?
My rear plug is black and front one is better but still sooty on one edge so I know it's rich through at least some of the map. Between 2000-2700 at a steady cruise with very light/no load it doesn't run smoothly, it seems to burble (for lack of a better term) It's fine on decal and under load.
Does anyone have any tips to get this running better, or a functioning map they could send me? I was hoping that the supplied map would be close enough to ride the rest of this year and get it professionally tuned in the spring.
Thanks in advance.
Signals worked Friday evening on the way to my friend's shop. Put the cams in Saturday morning and now they won't cancel. Has to be something in the tune but I can't find it.
Plugs are way too rich, especially the rear. Even for a generic supplied map this one feels off.
I've sent a message to DynoJet to see what they say.
I put my stage 1 map back in and the signals still won't self cancel. Clearly this was just eeire timing.
The bike runs really well with the stage 1 map. I have contacted DynoJet support to see what they say about the map they supplied to me. There's definitely a problem with it if the bike runs significantly better with a map for the oe cams. As it currently sits the bike runs smooth, has decent power, didn't ping, and the mileage seems ok.
