Default Breather hose routing

Hi all,

Happy 4th to all! To those folks who are running vent to atmosphere setups, does it make a difference if you route the hoses up and over front cylinder past regulator on to belt guard versus running straight down to Y under throttle body then to ground? I ask because my discrete breather from DK was leaking. I spoke with them and have since added Teflon tape to breather bolts. As I r&r the bolts I notice clean oil in those bolts as opposed to the brownish slim I've seen come out the bottom on my old 99 RKC. Bike is a 2015 RGS stage 1. It's was vented to ground at 5k the up & over route, 40k now. I've seen water drip out breather hose in cold weather when I was warming it up but never left the oil slim spot that the RKC would leave after running hard..
Thanks......goldie

I’ve always routed mine down to a T then down to the ground. I don’t like the idea of going uphill

I like both sides to be separated. They come out the front of box. I used to have them wrap across the front tubes then down and that didn't stand out but one of them didn't drain well so did this. As u can see on the ground they both have a spot. This is in cooler weather. When hot doesn't leave spots everywhere.

I have mine up under the gas tank and down to the ground beside the fuel overflow. It's been this way for years with no issues. I started a thread about it.
