Voltage Regulator Ground Point

Hello, I've got a 2001 Ultra with a missing voltage regulator. I purchased a new one and am getting the wires ran. Is there a specific ground point for the ground wire? I can't find any info in the manual of where it grounds. Thanks

for my 2002, it's under the seat, next to the main circuit breaker there is a post attached to the frame. Probably have to remove battery to access or see it.

I have a softail and my original voltage regulator ground was right where the regulator mounted. I replaced the voltage regulator when it failed and the new one's ground wire was so long that I ran it to the battery ground spot.
