hi
I am new for this forums , i hope have good time with you
my question about what the wide tire i can install in my bike ?
my bike is :2006 ULTRA CLASSIC (FLHTCUI)
original rear tire : MU85B16
can i use 180 size ? or what the wide tire i can use it
I tried a wider tire and couldnt really notice a difference. The wider looked better....but handling was the same. I believe it was a 160. Since then....I went back to the stock size.
Whatever you choose reguardless of width....make sure the tire has the proper load rating for your bike.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Your bike's rear tyre is the same size as a 140/85B16 and is installed on a 3inch wide rim. You may be able to fit a 150/80B16 tyre, but that is the largest suitable for your current rear wheel If you have a 1 1/2" wide rear belt that tyre will probably only fit if you modify the belt guard, to provide extra clearance.
No, you cannot use a 180 size tyre. That is too wide for your current wheel and is actually wider than your rear fender, so won't fit inside it! There are other problems which can only be overcome by some serious customising modifications.
