I was wondering if a bone-stock bike would benefit using a FP3 etc. . Sounds like you're happy of the results.
You said reduced heat off the bike. Can you explain please?
Did anything change with the new map? Better cold start, cold start idle, reduced deceleration 'popping' etc ?
Been on the fence for awhile about jumping into the game.
Been any regrets ?
Heat: The heat from the Cat on my right calf was so bad I would feel like I was getting burnt, to the point that I would stop to see if I was blistering. - Never did get blisters or welts, but it would be red. - The FP3 got rid of what I felt was excessive heat.
Changes: - Never had any issues with cold starts, or decell popping, but I do notice better performance with the aggressive throttle setting, my red line cut off is now at 6200 RPMs rather than the stock 5200, and my exhaust note is better/deeper.
I have no regrets, and as stated, wished I did it sooner.
Thanks for the responses. My bike is a CVO so it already has the high flow air cleaner. I put 2 Fullsac CVO Power Core inserts in the stock pipes. The only reason Im hesitating with the tuner is my warranty.
Flash - I have a ‘19 CVO Mako with S&S slip ons. Bike runs great and I do not have a tuner. Would a tuner help, maybe a little if you use the SEPST but any aftermarket tuner will void your warranty. Harley is making it increasing difficult to go aftermarket.
Enjoy that great looking bike..

You can use the HD CARB approved tuner until you're off warranty... while not optimum, it's better than nothing....
I've never used it, but I think you should be able to download a Stage I tune and I think I've read where you can do some minor auto tuning with it... I'm sure someone with experience with the tuner will correct me if misunderstand it's capabilities...
It will all be an EPA approved tune (= a little lean), but will you through your warranty period... If you don't like the way it runs, after the warranty is up, you can get a better tuner/tune...
