Hmmm, didn't give much thought to the rotor. Just checked rear brakes & they had been changed already & look fine & the rear rotor looks perfect. Maybe I'll just wait till after the trip & replace pads & rotor. When I first bought the bike it had a pretty good shimmy when on the front brakes but that went away after a few hundred miles. Brakes are actually pretty good in panic situations ask me how I know.

Dang it, yea I saw the "V" pads listed, was thinking about those. I have HH pads on my Intruder 1500 w single front disc & yes they make a particular annoying sound but they sure grip nicely. Maybe I'll get some drilled rotors as well.
