Depends on your monitor. 16:10, I can spare for top or bottom (I prefer the bar on the bottom after years of indoctrination). But I quite like it on the left side also. Most tasks seem to not make the best use of their horizontal space, so I can take advantage 192.168.100.1192.168.1.1 of that.
I have no idea what the above has to do with installing new bars but hey.
I have the dealer do it. My time is more valuable and I am fortunate I can afford it. Also if there are any problems they fix it before I pick it up. No stress.

A couple weeks ago I went to my local dealership and asked about 14" KST Mayhem installed and they didn't give me a price. Before I finished my question he blurted out "12 hours minimum". He said they wont order the bars and they use the LA choppers cable kit and charge $450 for that. He did tell me that they charge $150-$200 an hour. So doing the math: Bars - $245 + Cables - $450 = $695 + 12 hours of labor = $2495 low side, $3095 high side. I laughed at that.
Never installed bars but Ill be doing this as a winter project. We start to get out of the riding season around December out here and start seeing snow in the February - April. Perfect time to get this done.
I did un pin some on the left side to make it easier to pull through, otherwise I followed the factory 47 video step by step. The hardest part of the whole job for me was pulling the wires through, have patience!
i couldn't get the left (heated) grip on. called factory 47 and they said they just found it can be an issue. the inside diamter of the bar is too small for the heated element to fit in. so now i have to drill it out or take it to a machine shop to have them do it. did you have this issue at all?

All I had to do is de pin the plugs and I pulled them through. You should not have to drill anything.
