Default 2005 Road Glide headlight angry eyebrow

Looking at upgraded lighting for my 05' road glide to get rid of the stock Harley candlesticks. I'm wanting one of the angry eyebrow style headlight visors, but most say must upgrade to 09'and later lighting. What is involved with that? Is it a pretty straight forward swap?

They make a bezel for the earlier models that is similar, I have one. No need to upgrade the lights, it simply pops on like the regular light bezel.

Who makes that one?

I want a black bezel and white/chrome lights instead of the blacked out ones

If you buy the Harley Daymakers, in black or chrome, it comes with the HD bezel. Not the angry eyes, but gets rid of the bubble and they work 1000x better then stock from 2005.

you might want to upgrade your headlights anyway while you're at it....
NO complaints about my OEM headlights on my '05 FLTRI.... but I swapped out the OEMs for a set of CREE LED units from Sunpie via Amazon..... you can get direct replacements, or... go with the updated units.
The difference between what you currently have and the updated ones, are the headlights are held in place with screws you can access from the front, rather than having to remove the fairing, to change headlamps.
Everything, is plus and play...and if you were to get a lens crack... four screws, and you're back in business .
Mean mugs and a dozen more make the "angry" look..... back in the day, we used electrical tape...We called it the "Marvin the Martian" look (for those who remember the cartoon

I posted it here years ago and days later one of the manufacturers asked me if I had a patent or anything for it and asked if they could start making it. I told them I didn't care. Soon after it took off.

Funny thing is that my version was just black tape. I saw some sport bikes back in the day doing something similar, and I got bored in the garage one night.

I will be doing the headlight swap at the same time. And funny you mention sun pie, I have their led headlight on my night train and 2 years now and it's still going strong. I refuse to pay the ludacris prices for a real day maker when ebay/amazon headlights are just as good (I've compared mine an amazing daymaker set on my old ultra to my buddys harley brand day makers, and they were just as bright!).

When you swapped headlights, what year headlights did you go with? The later model or ones for an 05-?

That's the look! It does say though for my 05' I need the later daymakers. When I swap I'm going to do my lights as well, but curious the differences between the lights on the newer vs. older models
