at some events they have loud speakers that can be used to page people. If you explain to the announcer that alot of people have the same name and you need to talk to your buddy ,so if you you could page" the dick with the red sportster".more then one time.,,,,
All two-wheeled rides are good, except for crotch rockets.
I was out for a ride last week and I'm on the highway Route 283 here in Central PA Heading East towards home and see over in the West bound lane a guy standing beside his Suzuki GSXR 1000 (and yes I'd love to have one) so I go down about 1/4 mile and use the Police/Emergency turnaround isle that splits the divided Hway. Pull up behind him and get off the bike to see if he's broke down or needs some help. He says No just taking a break. He was about my age mid 40's and we had a nice chat along side the road for a good 20 min or so. He thanked me again for stopping and off we went. He was no different than me, just out riding.
It is sad how so many ride and so many forget why they ride.I got my first bike at the age of 13, a Triumph tiger cub. I still remember when dad opened the door and exposed my first bike. As a christian I have to restrain but sometimes it is very hard. I have a 1800vtx that I ride at times and a few friends and I have fun teasing each other. When it's in fun it is very cool. With 43 years riding in I have had so many different bikes it would strain my brain to try to remember. Just ride on and enjoy
To answer the question posed in the subject of this thread, I'd say treat them like anyone else. I judge people for how they behave, not based on the inanimate object between their legs. (Get your heads outa your *****, I didn't mean that inanimate object!)
I just got through a bout with one jerk on the BMW Sport Touring forum, who said a BMW was a "real motorcycle" but an HD was not. I asked him to clarify that any two-wheeled vehicle that didn't measure up to his particular riding style was not a motorcycle, and he did so. There are about as many intolerant jerks over there as there are here, which is to say few and far between, but the vast majority are not--and are tolerant, friendly folks. Some ride HD's and BMW's, and some others have owned HD's in the past, most saying good things about them. No one jumped in with support for this idiot.
Dang Crazycoop....that picture of that 70 brings back some memories. We hadthe gold colored one like that. LOL...I'd take that over that sporster anyday. Its a shame some ****** bag would run his mouth to you like that. You had alot more self control that I probably would have had. I'da said..."a sportster...well your a mini bike also...mine just has more class unlike you....." Its a shame that there are still ones out there that have the mentality of a harley or nothing. They just don't realizeor won't acceptthe fact that they are riding probably at least 1/3 or more metric themselves. I guess the answer is treat everyone the same. Don't let a couple "Harley Only" idiots make us all look like loosers.
I rode a Honda 750 K forever it seems. Then, I could finally afford a Harley. No, I don't ever look down on a person of another bike. I just think "There but for the grace of Gid, could still be me."

I know you weren't talking to me, mine ain't inanimate.
I first rode on my uncles homemade mini bike with a lawn mower engine and when he let me ride his Honda 70 one day I thought I was king of the neighborhood. I had a smile on my face for a week. No matterwhereyou are or what you're doing you're always going torun into a**holes. Anyone on two wheels is a friend of mine.
I've been riding for about twelve years, and have had a Nighthawk, GS750E, VX800, Marauder and now, finally an 07 Road King Custom. I was always told "riding on two wheels makes you part of the brotherhood." Now that I have an HD, I still feel the same, only the other brands of bikesare more like my step brothers. I would ride with anyone.
