Satellite Radio Antenna Placement on a Road Glide?
As I was selecting optional equipment for a 2020 Road Glide Limited yesterday, it almost felt like the parts manager was trying to talk me out of the SiriusXM Satellite Radio Kit. He said if the antenna is placed poorly, the radio will perform poorly. I asked him if there wasnt a standard place to install the antenna for each model, and he said its wherever the owner wanted it, as long as there was enough wire.
That sounded weird to me. Where are folks placing their satellite antennas?
Reception doesn’t seem to be an issue on the RG when you use the location mentioned above. On the batwing it’s better to place it outside the fairing beside the fairing vent.
